For over quarter of a century I have been keeping copies of the various letters that my local newspaper, The Miami Herald, has seen fit to publish. The photograph below appeared on the front-page of the Herald in December 2011 (above the fold!) after a staff photographer saw my wife and me, with our dogs Frodo and Lucy, returning home with our Christmas tree.
