The Greenhaven Trilogy is a series of novels set in a genteel South Florida city called Greenhaven. Each of the three novels takes place in the present time and features the same group of local residents. However, while the regular characters obsess over golf, sex and small town local politics, they do so against a variety of historic backgrounds.

Death by Water:The Cuban Connection

explores the effect of the Cuban diaspora on South Florida following Castro’s revolution in Havana. One family is traced from their Havana mansion to their cold-water Miami walk-up, and from the Bay of Pigs to an alligator in the swimming pool.

Death on the Eighth: The Flagler Connection‍ ‍

explores the colorful and somwhat sordid history of Miami since the arrival of Henry Flagler and his railroad. Starting with the Spanish American war, it shows the development of Miami’s brothels, through the gambling joints of Stiltsville to the stately homes and gardens of Greenhaven.

Dead Naked: The Russian Connection‍ ‍

traces the Russian oligarchs’ 21st century presence in South Florida’s condo towers, from the 19th century pogroms in Kiev, through 20th century gangs of New York to 21st century ‘Little Moscow’ on Sunny Isles Beach.

Sid Carter is an American CPA who receives a letter from a stranger in Nigeria offering him a generous percentage if Sid will only help him export his $60 million fortune out of Africa. What could possibly go wrong?
